This is unique apparatus which pressurizes a cubic space from 6 directions by hydraulic pressure + motor control. The target pressure is set to be 120 GPa.
1000 ton KAWAI-type multi-anvil high-pressure apparatus, USSA-1000
Maximum press load is 1000 ton with the first stage anvil of 60 mm and it is possible to generate pressure up to 25 GPa for sample of ~1 mm size.
D111-type high pressure deformation apparatus
This apparatus enables us to perform deformation experiments under high temperature and high pressure using a Kawai-type cell and it is useful for rheological studies of the mantle and core.
