Session Protocol

Each session will have two invited lectures. The keynote speaker will give a 45 minute lecture followed by a 15 minute question period. Next, the session chair will give a 20 minute lecture followed by a 10 minute question period. All the contributed papers are presented in poster sessions.

After the two invited talks and a coffee break, there will be a 90 minute discussion session. During the discussion session a number of short presentations (5 to 10 minutes) of new research have been organized. However, all the participants are urged to take part in the discussion, and to come prepared with one or at most 2 overheads. After the end of the discussion session in the afternoon, there will be a dedicated poster session time each day.

The oral sessions will be held in the Small Hall in Kurayoshi Mirai Chushin. Presentation facilities include two overhead projectors as well as a computer projector (connector: D-sub 15 pin), which can be used for Powerpoint files.

The posters will be displayed in the big Atrium area outside the Small Hall where oral sessions are held. The maximum allowable poster size is 90 cm (width) x 180 cm (height). The poster boards are made of special material and posters can be attached to the boards only by the use of specific material (velcro). These will be provided by the organizers. No pins or tapes should be used. The posters for all the sessions will be displayed during the whole period of the symposium (October 2 to October 5). You can set up your poster during the registration period on Tuesday (October 2), or on Wednesday (October 3) morning before the session starts at 9:00 AM.
